Chiford Travels arranges bespoke journeys in Sri Lanka. This notice explains how we look after the personal details you share when you enquire, travel with us, or use this website.
1. Who we are
Chiford Travels is responsible for the information described here. Our office is at No. 83, The Finance Watta, 3rd Lane, Ashokarama Mawatha, Ekala, Ja-Ela, Sri Lanka. This website is not aimed at children. We only hold a child’s details when a parent or guardian includes them in a family booking.
2. What we collect
From an enquiry or booking we may hold your name, email, WhatsApp or phone number, country, travel dates, the number of travellers, children’s ages if you share them, and what you hope to experience. If you later send them so we can arrange the journey, we may also hold passport or dietary details. When you browse the site we may see technical details such as browser type and pages visited, usually in aggregated form.
3. How we use it
We use these details to reply to you, design and operate your journey, take payment by bank transfer, and meet legal duties. We do not sell your information. We may send a follow-up about your enquiry. You can ask us to stop.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what a hotel, driver, guide, or activity provider needs in order to host you. Those suppliers handle that information under their own duties. We may also share information if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details while we are planning with you, and booking records for as long as we need them for the journey, our accounts, and any complaint. After that we delete them or remove the details that identify you.
6. Your choices
You may ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it when we no longer need it for the booking or the law. Write to info@chifordtravels.com or call +94 72 7158555.
7. Cookies and email
The site may store a cookie so it remembers the language you chose. You can control cookies in your browser. Ordinary email is not a fully private channel. Please do not send card numbers by email. If we need a travel document, we will tell you how to send it.
8. Other websites
